Our Next half term topic is about where we live finding out what is simular and what is different compared to London.

We would like you to put some facts together about London or some landmarks that you may visit in Dorset when out and about over the Easetr Holidays. You could choose a London/Dorset landmark, Musesum, Sporting venue, Theatre. Please draw it and write some facts about when it was built, who by, how much it cost, why it is there etc? You could choose the London Eye, Big Ben, Tower Bridge, Gerkin, Shard, Durdle Door, Chesil, Corfe Castle, Northe Fort, Old Harrys Rock, Dancing Ledge for example. It could be a sporting stadium like Wimbledon, Wembley, London Marathon, the Avenue Stadium. Be as creative as you like.

You could draw in order the tallest buildings in London and write some information about each one. You could even make a model.

We would also like some information about Dorchester and Poundbury. When was Poundbury Built? Who by? Who designed Poundbury? Are there any buildings or statues that look like another building/statue in London? Can you draw these and write some facts?

We plan to put up a display of all this work in our classroom where our Ocean display was. We hope this will help further our knowledge of London, Dorchester/Poundbury and Dorset.

Environment rewards will be given that out include environment books, litter picking equipment e.g. hi vis, gloves, bin bag rings for facts about London and Dorchester/Poundbury, Dorset.

Please could we have these in by Friday 3rd May.

Good Luck!
